December 2023 Update

All playable December 5th, the Essential level includes the following: Lego 2K Drive, Powerwash Simulator, and Sable. All games other than Sable are available on both PS4 and PS5. In a surprising turn of events, this time around, all of these games a kid can play! I’d say this month is a pretty nice selection, between racing in Lego 2K Drive, exploration in Sable and a relaxing sim in Powerwash Simulator.

I’ll just open up with the best game on here is probably Spirit of the North (for the younger audience that is). We do have some great newer titles that are very popular, like both Remnant games (Remnant: From the Ashes and Remnant 2). Far Cry 6 if you like the more open world type games as well (definitely not for the kids though). One of my all time favorite games is also included: Rise of the Tomb Raider (which is Mature but it’s mostly for the combat violence). There are some city builders that are in the E 10+ range: SteamWorld Build and Against the Storm (f you’re into those). The last 2 things I’d like to highlight are Goat Simulator 3 and Tin Hearts. Though Goat Simulator 3 is teen, I always found the first game to be pretty silly and not a game to worry too much about content wise. (It is actually listed as Family and Kids under xbox tags.) Tin Hearts (also under the Family and Kids tag) is a puzzle game where you’re a tin soldier. It looks pretty cute! All in all I think this month has decent picks for adults and kids.

I really waited until the last minute on this one, huh? Matt and I have both been a little overworked and stressed over the holiday season so content has not been quick to complete. I’ll try to put some additional time into this but I get tunnel vision with streaming and neglect the other things I’d like to work on. Matt has also had projects he’s been putting a lot of work into and hopefully y’all will get to experience that with his streaming soon. I am not one for new years resolutions but I’d like to say, at least for me, I’ll work at this more.

Thank you to anyone who reads these. Happy New Years.
